Creativity Oz - postponed till Feb 2011...

Hi folks

That's the bad news I'm afraid! Whilst it might still have been possible to run a smaller event in Feb. 2010 we really want the first conference to go with a bang rather than a fizzle! I also wanted to make sure that all those wonderful International guests and colleagues didn't find themselves with a non-refundable airfare if we canceled too late!

So the decision has been made to postpone by a year. The venue have carried over our deposit so it will still be in Ballarat around the sa… Continue

Economic Crisis - Really?

It’s disappointing to hear so much talk of doom and gloom in the media. Sure we have an economic downturn, but so what? That shouldn’t mean we lie down and groan – why not sit up and see what positives can come from the situation?

The first and most obvious one is – not everyone is going to be worse off! Even if you see your particular market sector drop by 15% as is predicted by some – remember you couldn’t cope with the WHOLE market anyway! What percentage of your market do you think you have… Continue

Hitting the airwaves!

Well, it all seemed to go pretty well on 3AW radio with host Denis Walter in Melbourne last Tuesday. And it was fun! We talked about 'thinking' and why we need to do more of it, right through from education systems through organisations and in our social and family groups. Some interesting callers too! It's a bit like saying, "Are there any questions?" at the end of a keynote - you have no idea what's coming. It's also great to practice what we preach - I had to 'think' a lot more in this unusua… Continue

If you're in Melbourne next Tuesday 7 April and near a radio...?

At this stage I'm scheduled to be on the Denis Walter show on 3AW at a little after 1.00pm - just after the news. Should go ahead unless major news happens. I'l be talking with Denis about Thinking. (Surprise, surprise!) The idea is to introduce some tips on thinking better and solving problems... Fingers crossed! Should be phone-in questions too so they tell me.

Hi Ken,

Great to connect. I tripped across your site last night reading an Anthill newsletter and immediately bookmarked and subscribed to the blog posts. I see a great synergy here as I am a Communications Electronics Engineer have worked (and been frustrated) as Engineering, Product Management, Sales etc in IT & Telco industries. In 3 weeks time my family and I move to NZ for a few years to start life's chapter #2. I'm enrolled in a Grad Dip Psychology, following in 12 months into Masters Psychology. Sounds vaguely similar to your background no? As you'd imagine, the reaction from 98% is I'm crazy, which means I must be on the right track!

I look forward to participating, contributing and connecting with like minded and challenging thinkers. Stuart.

Ken, when I work that out, I will gladly respond and comment. Like you have said in one of the blogs, there is either a "half full" or "half empty" situation currently, and for every threat (economically etc...) there are boundless opportunities. I am hoping this network might help me get some of those opportunity ideas into action... what I have, I will add! dean

Happy to be here. Pity it's only half my brain taking part if my pic is anything to go by though!
