The InnoYOUth urban innovation camp occurs two times a year and challenges 100 Victorian young people to create solutions for important issues that face communities today.
Situated in Melbourne and run during the school holidays, the camps consist of a series of workshops facilitated by some of Australia's greatest thinkers and teachers.
Young people 9-14 are taught subjects that are usually left to adult entrepreneurs and inventors and the language we use is the language of 'possibilities'.
Students are split into 5 teams of 10. Over three days in September young participants will learn;

After the workshop series is complete student teams will participate in the contest and produce their innovations.
The 2009 Innovation Challenge Topics 1. Think green ideas and go for a healthier environment
2. Recycle and reinvent products from waste
3. Redesign public places and recreation experiences for young people
Each team will present their Innovation for evaluation by a panel of business professionals. First, they post a company web site on our Internet server for online evaluation.
